| This is Brody pulling his sled up for
another ride down. |
| Cam waiting for Brody to bring the sled
back up |
| Cam on his way back up |
| Dad getting them ready for a double
ride |
| Wheeeeeeeeeeeee! |
| How did Brody manage to get his brother
to pull him back up the hill? What a deal. |
| Yeeeaah! |
| This is the baseball field of a school
just down the street from our home |
| Time for a snowball fight... |
| ...and then a good pout |
| Mom and Brody |
| Off into the sunset on a new adventure |
| The boys are constantly making new "habitats."
This one consists of outdoor chairs with water cups and cushions from the
sofa. I suppose the other pillows are the ottomans? |
| "Let's have a race!" The boys
line up almost all of their Matchbox cars in the hall. |
| Brody in the "Bouncy House"
with hair full of static |
| At 3 years old, it was time for a new
experience... |
| and they were pretty successful at making
their own Rice Krispies Treats |
| Brody in his tunnel... |
| ...and Cam |
| Brody crawled through to the Ball Pit |
| One kool kid |
| Brody getting away from everyone, finding
a quiet place to draw |
| Cam's catch when playing a Go Fishin'
game |
| Here's Brody's catch |
| Music time featuring Brody on the guitar... |
| ...and now featuring Camden |
| Now we'll hear a duet from the boys |
| Duet number 2 with the instruments swapped |
| The boys rolling the drum across the
floor in their first actual music class |
| Brody took first turn on the miniature
cello |
| Then Cam got a chance to play |
| This book went from a "flip up
book" to a "rip up book" |
| A Mack Truck for the Matchbox cars |
| After Mom returned from New Orleans
with Mardis Gras beads, they were an accessory to every outfit |
| We told you they ALWAYS wear hats; the
sunglasses are in there somewhere in Brody's bed |
| When Daddy walked in the next morning,
this was in Brody's bed and Brody was in his toy chest hiding from Daddy.
He started laughing when Robert pulled the sheets off his stand-in, the
bear with the hat!! |
| Wonder what he's dreaming about |
| Just outside the door of their rooms
is a "special spot." This is a place where they can put all the
toys and items they carry upstairs, but we don't really want in their bed.
| These items stay safe in the "special
spots" until they wake up and grab them in the morning. |
| Daddy and Brody "watching"
a movie |
| Back to the '70s |
| The boys in their drive-in movie |
| Brody, Gretel and Mommy wiped out! |
| The "Aces of Cookies" |
| Learning colors and having fun |
| Mmmmm this is good! |
| The boys are quite the artists, especially
when they aren't really hungry. Here is Cam showing off his food art. |
| A Brody original |
| Cam is tired of just playing with his
food, so he decides to decorate himself with chocolate |
| But I think Brody has him beat at this
game. |
| Valentine's from Aunt B and Taylor made
of... |
| ...melted crayons. |
| Official refrigerator artwork |
| Cam made these sweet sunglasses |
| Brody made the fruity ones |
| My! What a big mouth you have! |
| Each year the University of Alaska Seawolves
play Denver and Colorado College in hockey. This year we went to one of
the Denver Pioneers games. |
| Cam's photo smile |
| Brody has the best view |
| Brody and his friend, in the background,
with their earbuds and iPods |
| How lucky am I? |
| There's my little man |
| The boys carry their chairs over to
watch TV with me |
| Hammond's Candy has been in Denver since
1920. |
| They sell fine candies and chocolates
to places like Harry and David's. |
| We decided to take a tour and taste
some samples. |
| Brody already has his hat and is ready
to cook. |
| Still wearing their sunglasses |
| At the factory, everything made that
day is boxed and shipped out the same day |
| The pink packages are cream-filled chocolate
bunnies for Easter |
| Since it was one of the slower weekdays,
we donned the hairnets and went into the packaging area |
| We carried the boys to make sure they
didn't try to sample any of the candy surrounding us |
| Here are some of the folks who are actually
hand-packing the candy and chocolate |
| These sweet boys got some sweet orange
creme lollipops to devour |
| How can you choose what to try? |
| I don't guess they will ever go out
of business with these delicious temptations around |
| "Mommy, let's get this lollipop!" |
| The ribbon candy is one of Hammond's
signature products. Models of it are hanging from the ceiling. |
| The best part of the whole day |
| Lollipop heaven |
| Another one of the boys' habitats |
| You might notice there are more blankets
and animals which have been added since the last photo. |
| They continued running up the stairs
and bringing items from their bedrooms until they had everything from their
bed downstairs and set up like they were going to sleep. |
| Then they pulled up their chairs, had
a drink and enjoyed the fruits of their labor. |
| Gretel getting some treats from the
boys |
| Food art is now going vertical... |
| ...and getting really colorful |
| We are always "finding" items
in strange places. This is a storage container for Matchbox cars. |
| Brody building his log cabin... |
| ...while Cam stretches out on Mommy's
couch |
| Here is an example of an array of items
found in one of the boy's backpacks |
| And here is what was was in the other
backpack |
| Dressed for a day out on the town |
| Complete with all accessories: sunglasses,
headbands, wristbands, and Mardis Gras beads! |
